Bloemfontein Celtic and SuperSport United positioned, 7th and 8th respectively on the Absa Premiership log standings, both teams expected to have a cracker of a game when they meet on Sunday 20th(January 2019) at the Lucas Moripe Stadium. The game kick-offs at 15h30.

The hosts (SuperSport) had a torrid time last weekend losing to Black Leopards and results subsequently putting pressure on the technical team to start winning while the visitors (Celtic) lost two valuable points after succumbing to a one-all draw against Arrows. The major setback for Celtic is the absence of Bongani Sam, who is serving a one-match suspension after accumulating four yellow cards. Also, Wandisiile Letlabika still awaits late fitness test to affirm his availably.

Celtic’s COO Chabeli Motsamai said: “Since the beginning of the year we have done fairly well gaining four out of six possible points. Unfortunately we drew at home but the positive sign is that the team performed well. Supersport is a tough nut to crack especially playing at their home turf, however, the mood seen while the boys were training this week was just awesome, meaning there is positive vibe that needs to be transferred to the day of the game.”

Motsamai also acknowledges the work done by coaches saying their contribution is appreciated. “You see, as a team we have invested appropriately since their retirement of both Lehlohonolo Seema and John Maduka have worked with various experienced coaches, gaining experience and knowing how to deal with pressure hence we appointed them. We are positive that our players will come back with a victory,” he concluded.
