Celtic will be faced with a hurdle of immense proportion trying to beat Chippa United on Sunday (19th February 2017) at Dr. Molemela stadium but on the same breath, Siwelele will be equally ready to win their first home game in as many games.
John Maduka, Bloemfontein Celtic interim co-coach has highlighted the significance of winning at this crucial stage admitting playing good football without goals is futile.
“This is a Do or Die kind of situation whcih the players have been made aware and they fully understand the danger we are facing. The song of creating chances without converting must be over now, this is a must win encounter for the supporters who are obviously stressed by our current position on the log.”
“Whilst we will go all out for a win, we must be cautious. Chippa has good team and their style of play is almost similar to ours and our home ground advantage must be utilized sufficiently. Like other previous games, preparations went well and looking at how the players conducted themselves one can confidently say we will win. The myth of not winning at home must be nullified by a great game of football compounded good goals scored at the end of the day,” he said.
The game will start at 15h30 and supporters are urged to purchase their tickets at various selling points. The tickets sell at R50 and R40 for grand and open stands respectively.
