If stats between 2004/2005 and current league season are anything to go by, Bloemfontein Celtic has an upper-hand against Golden Arrows.
On the contrary, Arrows has by far the best performances this season lying on position 8 with Siwelele occupying the 13thspot. However, both sides lost their last PSL fixture games to SuperSport and Sundowns respectively, making this encounter to be a “must win” affair for both teams.
“Arrows have shown brilliant improvement since former Celtic coach (Clinton Larsen) took over but our advantage is that both our current interim coaches understand his philosophy as they have worked with him. It won’t be easy but history has proven that Durban is our second home when coming to results achieved,” remarked the Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco.
Konco stressed, “Even though we lost against Sundowns our players have shown some glimpse of charisma and fighting spirit that can only improve moving towards this game. Our technical team has been working on sharpening our swords to make sure we convert chances created through our flexible style of play. We are fully behind the team and confidently looking forward to positive results,” he concluded.
The game will be played on Saturday (11th February 2017) at Prince Magogo Stadium. The game is scheduled to Kick-Off at 15h30.
