Celtic to be tested

Bloemfontein Celtic ambition of progressing to the next round of the Nedbank Cup will be sternly tested when they face Richards Bay FC on Saturday (16 February) at Free State stadium in a match kicking off at 20h15. Currently lying on position five in the National First Division, the Kwazulu Natal based side can cause havoc if left unchecked and that is what Celtic COO Chabeli Motsamai thinks

“Our philosophy is simple, we don’t underestimate any team. Our game in the same cup against Super Eagles proved beyond measure that these lower division teams can be very lethal especially wanting to prove their worth against PSL teams. Already some PSL teams have been knocked out by these so called minnows hence the cautious approach from our technical team.”

“I’m glad we have a very competitive team, with an abundance of talent and whoever given the chance to perform with do with aplomb. Cup games are crucial because they allow us to have a proper look at some of the fringe players and consequently afford us the chance to win one prestigious tournament. Our boys have been looking sharp and raring to go. There is an element of positive vibe and eagerness to win,” he concluded
