Simba SC will be aiming to get their Caf Champions League campaign off to a winning start when they welcome JS Saoura to the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Saturday afternoon.

Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.

The Tanzanian champions make a return to the group stages of Africa's premier cup competition for the first time in 15 years with a clash against the tournament newbies.

Simba and JS Saoura are joined in Group D by Democratic Republic of Congo powerhouse AS Vita and eight-time champions Al Ahly, who will be eager to make amends for their final defeat late last year.

Emerging from the group will come as a major boost for either Simba or JS Saoura, who have made climbed up the Algerian ranks in recent seasons to book their place in Africa's premier cup competition for the first time. Simba head coach Patrick Aussems agrees:

"Our opponents might see us as underdogs but that is the advantage for us," said Aussems as quoted by CAF Online. "Our first target was to reach the group phase but now we need to fight and see what we can do in our group."

"We are not going to change our approach. We have scored 12 goals in the last four games, that's our strength, and we will continue to play that way, we believe that our opponents will be in trouble," he concluded.
