After being held to a goalless draw by Chippa United on Tuesday night, Celtic players’ morale was at a low level, psychologically affected by the prospect of losing the chance to qualify for Top-8. Now, with only two games remaining, Veselin Jelusic’s charges still have a slide opportunity to grasp some points in their endeavour to achieve their goal. However, they will have to go past BarokaFC, unpredictable and very dangerous especially playing at home. With only two points separating the two from the same number of games (28), Baroka will be tempted through their salubrious and exciting style, not only to attack but score goals that will make them surpass the Mangaung based team. On the contrary Celtic is still haunted by their perennial syndrome of failing to score However, this is a dog eat dog fight and they will graciously try to win at all costs.

John Maduka, Celtic’s assistant coach narrated his frustrations about host of chances missed almost each and every game played. “Just like last season, the stats prove we are one of the best attacking teams in the league, missing chances has been our greatest dilemma and that is a worrying factor. In our game against Chippa, we missed clear cut chances and desperately huff and puffed in the second half and that nearly cost us the game. Nothing is impossible in football if the desire to win remains the same and we have been trying to rectify some of our short comings and that must happen till the bitter end.”

Celtic faces Baroka FC this Saturday from the Peter Mokaba Stadium. The match is scheduled to kickoff at 15h00.
