The remaining PSL fixtures are getting more intriguing and that is compounded by the potentially enticing top eight spots and the resilience from bottom-half teams to avoid the dreaded chop.

The exhausting period of calculations influenced by permutations will be the order of the day and Bloemfontein Celtic is part of that pandemonium, hence the cautious approach moving forward… That is according Celtic’s CEO Khumbulani Konco looking at the game against Polokwane City on Wednesday night (07 March 2018).

“The remaining games will be enthralling for fans and somehow distressing for administrators. At this stage of the season, even your so-called bogey teams will find it difficult to defeat you, players are inspired to do well, some are at the twilight of their careers and those on the brink of losing their jobs due to contracts coming to the end will fight even harder. It took so long for us to win a game and the atmosphere after beating Ajax on Sunday was unbelievable. The win brought relief to our fans.”

Polokwane City will be a hard-nut to crack and looking at their current position, their players will be viciously fighting for survival and Konco agrees: “This game will be a true test of character for us, we must guard against their experienced frontline and their ability to break at an alarming speed. However, one is pleased that our back four has been slightly solid, not conceding and that is how you start winning games. We urge our supporters to come in numbers and continue to bravely encouraging our team with such aplomb,” he concluded.

The match will be played Dr. Molemela stadium and will kick off at 19h30.
