After two weeks of inactivity, Bloemfontein Celtic will on Saturday night (24 Feb 2017), engage Kaizer Chiefs in an away clash to be played at the FNB Stadium.

Chiefs have been in outstanding form recently going about nine games without a loss. The Mangaung based side, under the tutelage of Serbian coach, Veselin Jelusic, had a slump in form lately.

However, past results have no bearing when it comes to this gigantic clash of two awe-inspiring teams who have the ability to dish-out some splendid football that will keep fans and observers excited.

The significance of this mammoth encounter is fuelled by the fact that Chiefs is gunning for league honours and Siwelele cautiously trying to gain maximum points to qualify for the Top-eight berth.

“We might not be in the relegation zone at the moment but we must guard against losing too many points at this crucial stage of the league,” highlighted Celtic’s MD Rali Ramabodu, when asked about his team’s chances

“The team has been preparing exceedingly well with coaches emphasizing on scoring and defending appropriately which has been our main downfall. Postponement of our game against Polokwane City last week somehow affected the rhythm of the team but perhaps that short break has afforded the coaches the chance to rectify mistakes committed in previous games.

"Once you start well, you will hope for better and progressive displays, especially during the second half of the season. I know our players are working hard and will approach the game with vigour and determination at the ultimate end,” he concluded.
