Celtic will earnestly look for a change of fortune after their 2017 Telkom Knockout final loss whilst the hosts, AmaZulu, currently occupying ninth spot on the log standings with only one point separating them from their visitors, will be looking to inflict more pain when the two teams meet on Wednesday (06 December 2017).

“The team is recuperating well and after yesterday’s (Monday) training session, one could detect that feeling of unity and desire to move to the next game with confidence,” commented Bloemfontein Celtic’s team manager, Lesiba Mothokoa referring to the highly anticipated 19h30 clash against AmaZulu at King Zwelithini Stadium.

“I must concede that losing in such a painful manner (in the dying minutes of the game) last weekend against BidvestWits in the final, somehow affected the team but after in-depth motivation from the technical team, our players realized that a win in the AmaZulu encounter is even more crucial to redeem ourselves.” Lesiba continued.

In conclusion, Mothoko appreciated the off-the-field role played by the senior players “It won’t be easy to play against AmaZulu. Unfortunately there is no time for self-pity because accumulating as many points as we can before the December break must be our priority. I have faith in the players and I trust that they will recover and do well. We are blessed to have experienced players who know how to handle different situations and also help in preparing youngsters psychologically”
