Celtic Chairman thanks supporters

Bloemfontein Celtic’s new recruits Sipho Jembula, Jacky Motshegwa, Lucky Baloyi, Ali Abondo, Given Mashikinya, Roggert Nyundu, Ndumiso Mabena, Victor Letsoalo and promoted young star Kabelo Dlamini were all traditionally welcomed by supporters in a general meeting held this Sunday (13th August 2017) at Paradise Hall.

The head coach Veselin Jelušic who was enthusiastically saluted with exceptional songs of praise together with Abram Nteo who was last week roped into the MDC technical team.

Addressing the supporters in his opening remarks, Celtic chairman Max Tshabalala vowed that the team will continue to listen to the supporters and consequently accepted the faults made by management.

“I want to unreservedly apologise on behalf of the entire management and players for having caused you pain through the horrible results attained by the team in the past two seasons. However, our mistakes, have also taught us to listen to your advice hence we brought a reputable international coach and added some exceptionally talented players. We are requesting your continuous support whilst appreciating your dependable way of supporting the team especially during trying times.”

Also important was the chance given to supporters to address various issues and it was agreed that a follow-up meeting will be organized to iron out some of the outstanding issues. Supporters also voiced their desire for the team to win silverware and start preparations for the club’s 50 year celebrations (in 2019).
