Abram “Wire” Nteo, who emerged as one of the best midfield players during the era of 2000 Sydney Olympics as part of South Africa’s Under-23 squad has now joined Bloemfontein Celtic’s Multi Choice Diski (MDC) technical team as a coach. The exceptionally talented former Celtic player was roped in to solidify the technical team, working with another legend, Jeffrey Legetla.

“I have coached African Warriors in the National First Division where I coached for three years both as an assistant and later head coach. I also increased my experience through my stay at Royal Eagles for two seasons and that somehow prepared me as a coach. I have a SAFA B Licence and I am still thirsty to empower myself with more qualifications. This opportunity is a stepping stone and will allow me to grow further.”

“Remember, having played for Celtic has taught me the culture and passion associated with the team and looking at how the MDC team has been doing recently, one can safely say we have the potential to do better than we did last season. I must thank the chairman (Max Tshabalala) and entire management for believing in my ability and awarding me the chance to work for such a huge brand. I will work hard to add value and subsequently grow the brand that I love wholeheartedly,”
